TCAA is a nonprofit, charitable corporation organized to provide a network of support of Alaskan artists, musicians and teachers of art and music. TCAA further seeks to provide the public with quality learning opportunities for themselves and their children. We also produce and provide to the public quality performances and exhibitions employing the talents of Turnagain Community Arts Alliance members and their students.
Housed in the Turnagain Arts Building at 4105 Turnagain Blvd. in Anchorage, Alaska, TCAA seeks to offer a multipurpose teaching center for arts training, performances, and exhibitions that will benefit the future of the arts, both locally and statewide. We also focus on bringing arts education to at-risk and justice-involved youths, as we believe the arts can provide an outlet for addressing emotional and/or problem behaviors through opportunities to learn new skills, develop new talents, and express thoughts and ideas in creative and therapeutic ways

Stevi MortonStephanie (Stevi) Morton came to Alaska in April 1976 for what was to have been a 6 month assignment during construction of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Lured by adventure and what ultimately became a 25 year career with Alyeska Pipeline Company, Stevi made Anchorage her home. With her husband, Larry (deceased), she raised two beautiful talented daughters and is blessed to have them, their husbands, and three grandchildren living in Anchorage.
After her career at Alyeska, Stevi joined the Providence Health System and enjoyed an 18 year career serving as the Chief Information Officer for Alaska and serving in an executive leadership role across Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, and Montana. During that time, Stevi began serving on Boards of Directors for non-profit community organizations. She has served as a director for the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce, the Anchorage Community Concert Band, Pulse Dance Company, and now Turnagain Community Arts Alliance. Always a supporter and participant in the Arts since childhood and carrying that love forward with her children, Stevi is pleased to bring her experiences and support to TCAA. |
